Organizations & sites
How accounts are structured: an organization holds every site your team watches.
Operate is multi-tenant by organization. You never work in a bare account with no container — every site belongs to an organization.
Organization
- Created automatically on first sign-in as “{First name}’s Org”.
- Switch organizations from the sidebar.
- You can create another organization anytime from the switcher.
- Org Settings — owners and admins can rename and change the slug.
Site
- A site is one physical place. Open it to see the Map.
- On first signup we create “Default Site” with a “Default Area” and drop you on the Map.
- Use New on the Sites page to add more — new sites open on their Map.
